Church of Saint Andrew

Almost in front of the former municipal building, that is located at number 36, we find the Church of Saint Andrew. It was built in the 12th century and it is said it was erected upon the existing church of Saint Leonardo. The external structure comprises an elegant bell tower, commissioned in 1436 by Earl Everso degli Anguillara to master Galasto. The style of the building is an anticipation of the harmony and style of the later Renaissance buildings. After the collapse of the roof, the only elements of its inner part that still remain are some columns and some of the outer walls, while the altar-pieces were stolen before the Sixties. It was originally a collegiate Church but is subsequently became the headquarters of the ancient Parish Church of Saint Andrew.
