Farnese Palace

Alessandro Farnese (Pope Paolo III) ordered its construction for his son Pierluigi. It was intended to be the seat of the administration of the properties of the territory of Canepina. It has small dimensions and a solid structure, typical of the 16th century architecture. Its left part has been enlarged; on the right side a huge supporting wall is embellished by a fountain and by symbols. In the meeting hall still remains the old panelled ceiling with multicoloured tiles and the lily of the Farnese family. It has been home of the Town Hall for a long time now.
